Bethany Malievsky, 17, at left, the top student in the 2014 Hotchkiss High School Graduating Class, is presented a $500 scholarship award from the Delta County Republican Women, as the winner in the organization's annual essay contest. Bethany's winning essay was on the subject, "Increasing the Minimum Wage: Will It Increase Our Standard of Living?" The essay text is included in the Delta County Republican Party Newsletter in September 2014. Terry Stephenson, chairwoman of the scholarship award committee, is shown presenting the award to her.
